So last night I’ve been still struggling to pick what characters to play in Legion. I think I will settle on my 4 alliance toons: Draenai hunter, gnome mage, pandaran priest and of course my human warlock. Seeing that classes matter more in the next expansion, it has actually given me an insentive to level every class. I say every class, but I won’t have a dk, rogue or monk. I just can’t get the hang of these classes.

Ofcourse WoW isn’t my only mmo, I mean this is me, the girl who is always undesisive about games etc. So what mmo’s have I been playing?

Guildwars 2: I have to admit that I really enjoy playing my necromancer, but I really am playing this game as if it was a single player. I’m not interested in the dungeons or pvp. I’ve just been focussing on her personal storyline and it’s really good. I don’t know if I’d want to get the expansion Heart of Thorns for this one as soon as it’s released though.

Elder Scrolls online: I adore this game! I am playing it on ps4 now and the quests are a lot of fun. As always it took me a while to settle on a character, but I now have a nightblade Khajiit and I really enjoy playing her.

I do feel that this game is just better on the ps4, it doesn’t feel so clunky when you play it with a controller. Also the Aldmeri Dominion (one of the factions you choose to join at the start of the game) has the most amazing NPC in the entire game: Razum-Dar

This Khajiit always makes me giggle when I have to help him with missions and it’s one of the reasons why I ditched my bosmer sorcerer for a Khajiit. Also Cats Rule!

If you’re thinking of picking up ESO I would say ‘yes, do it!’, but I do feel that it plays better on the ps4 personally. The storyline is great and the world is amazing. I love discovering tiny things that lead you to another quest or more lore.

So this is how I’ve been dividing my time on mmo’s lately.

Lately I’ve been playing my Bloodelf hunter a lot. Well, I say a lot, but I’m actually taking my time with her. She’s only level 93 but I really want to get her to 100 and then focus on the human warlock and I even rolled a belf rogue. A class I suck at so much, it’s a new challenge now for me.

All these chars reside on Argent Dawn which is an rp server and that’s exactly what I want tot do with my characters. Raiding doesn’t tickle my fancy any longer and I’m tired of my alliance characters (not entirely otherwise I wouldn’t have a human lock ;)) so hopefully running around on horde side I will feel inspired again to play.

Finding your way in WoW again

We’ve all been there. You’ve been playing a game you love to death for several months, years, decade and all of a sudden you have no urge to log in anymore and when you do it’s only for a few seconds.

This is what happens to me on occasion with wow. I get periods that I just don’t find the game that interesting and will unsub for a while to try something else. The difference is that normally this happens in between xpansions. Warlords hasn’t even been out for 6 months and I already feel like it for the last weeks.

I tried focusing on a new char, my human warlock Zoellha and as much fun I had on here, warlock doesn’t ‘fit’ me. I tried going back to druids, but even they don’t seem to do it for me. Then I remembered my bloodelf hunter. I only leveled her to level 7 but I found her quite fun to play. So I figured I would test to see if I’d enjoy playing her.

In a day I got her to level 58…. then I pushed her to 60 and gave her my free WoD boost to 90. I am hoping that if I focus on her background story and do all the horde quests on her I will find some love for the game again. This has worked in the past and I already have written down a long background story for her, so I’m hoping to get the chance to roleplay more with her too.

Here’s hoping!

Did you ever try something ‘new’ in game to find the love again?

I really don’t want to give up on this blog yet, so I came up with a little plan for it. Instead of always posting lengthy blog posts, I thought that I might as well post screenshots on certain days or just pictures of things that I find interesting.

Again, it’s been ages since I’ve posted here and I would love to blame it on being really busy, but I’m really not. I’m very lazy and I envy bloggers who can churn out so many posts on a weekly base. I’m not like that. I’m not even sure if I could even do that, but then again I might find more enjoyment once I start posting more things. Who knows?

Anyhow,  I was thinking of updating my blog during the week with the following things:

Monday – WoW levelling projects

Tuesday – Screenshot day

Wednesday – What game has caught my eye?

Thursday – Random picture of something that interests me

Friday – Random topic

I’m not doing anything on Saturday or Sunday. Mostly because on Sunday I’m prepping for the podcast and again, I’m lazy *smirks*

So tomorrow I’ll talk a bit about my levelling project in wow and for those interested in my other podcast project…. well, I’m just not happy enough with it. So putting it on the cooler for now and I might pick it up in the new year.

I’m probably not the first and I most certainly won’t be the last person giving my opinion about the new Pandaren female model. In short, I’m happy with it. She looks cute, but not overly sexy. She might not be as big and round as some people hoped, but at least she’s not (as I like to call it) a pair of melons on a stick. I love what they did with her hair and I can’t wait to get a cute bun with chopsticks on my future characters.

After falling in love with the new female Pandaren model, I have the following list in my head for characters on Argent Dawn:

  • Tauren Shaman (who might be race changed into a panda, she’s already level 58)
  • Nightelf Mage (might also change her into a panda)
  • Nightelf and Tauren Druid (both with different specs: cat/bear and moonkin/resto)
  • Troll Warlock
  • Dreanai Warrior
  • Dreanai Hunter
  • Bloodelf Rogue
  • And two Pandarian Monks!

All female characters. I will not be playing a Paladin or a Deathknight on this server. I don’t mind the Paladin class that much, but I’d prefer to have two Druids. Who knows, if the monk class isn’t that great I might get a Paladin after all. When it comes to the Monks I will put them on Horde and Alliance. Lets see how that works out.

Looking at the glyph changes for druids, I will also be levelling a glyphmaker. I think my two Druids will be good candidates for that.

Now with all of this, I am still looking for a fun guild on Argent Dawn. Though there is a contest coming up where we are starting a guild for the Podcast and podcast listeners. With some luck that guild will grow into a wonderful home!

My very first post.. *squees*

Introduction

I guess everyone should have an introductionairy post and here’s mine: I’ve been playing the game since the release and though I’ve tried many classes and enjoyed them, there has always been one class that I loved the most: druid. Yes, I have strayed and I’m a chronic altoholic, but I always seem to come back to my druid.

I would not say I am an amazingly skilled player. Yes, I can keep myself alive and I know what each button does. But I was never one for the theorycrafting or numbercrunching. I use other blogs and websites to get information about what the best gems are and what the best specs are at the moment.

I started with a nelf druid. I did everything with her; questing, raiding, roleplaying and I loved it all. I remember levelling her on a normal pve server and I got her to 60. But I got tired of the server and decided to roll a second druid on an rp-pvp server. I enjoyed it immensely. Now mind you, I’m was a crap pvp player. I somehow got into a panic mode as soon as I was being attacked. I just ran around like a headless chicken, forgetting what my buttons actually did and started to mash on my keyboard. Then I died. I did become better every time and nowadays I quite like pvp. The only thing I haven’t tried is arena’s.

During my time on the rp-pvp server I met some amazing people and some of them I still consider good friends. After raiding in WotLK I started to get tired of playing the same things over and over again. I strayed to some alts, but getting them all up to 80 was…. boring me, I guess.

I tried horde for a while and loved the new quests. I tried al the races just to get a feel of their background and the lore, it awakened my love for WoW again.

In the end I went back to alliance, switched server to be with some rl-friends and now we’re starting to to build up our guild.

About this blog:

It will mostly contain things I experienced in WoW, some news things I’ve read, my levelling updates, screenshots and I even want to start drawing again and posting it here. I used to be ok at drawing, but I stopped and after 8 years, I think it is time to take it up again. It will be hard and painful , since I’m always too picky about my own work and I know that I need to practice a lot. But as soon as I am comfortable with posting my work I will. I’ll also post some ic stories from my characters and their bio’s.

And that’s basically it. Ow and if you’re wandering about the name: human moose…. my druid  had the moose headpiece and when I was in a bg (when it was still against your own realm) there was this famous troll priest who figured out what keys to use to “talk” to alliance. He saw me and called me ‘human moose’. It made me giggle and I thought it would be a nice name. Also I love antlers on all the druidsets. So it only makes sense.
